Well, today Farmer came over and we started in on the project. I had already been working on it earlier and yesterday. It seems I can hardly walk past the pick up without doing something to it. We are having a great time. I had already started removing the dash, instrument panel, heater, shifter, and released the clutch, brake and gas pedal. I also disconnected some of the wiring clusters. Now we need to remove the cab. 4 bolts, we just have to get to them. Farmer unbolted the cab, cut away the brake cable and we made sure everything was clear. Now we need some bodies to help lift it. Jeremy is in Yuma, that would have been 2 bodies. So we called Skip and the boys, Skip came with Michael, Chris was sleeping, and Daniel came. Sara also came to take pictures. She got a little carried away and took 58 pictures. I will not use them all of course. Anyway between the 5 of us we managed to get the cab off and set it aside. Next we wanted to move the pick up again so we had to roll it out, without steering because I removed the steering column and Farmer removed the wheel. I went and got the Toyota again and we hitched it up with a tow cable to maneuver it. It was a chore, but we got it in the garage, To Holly's dismay I'm sure. She's a good sport though. We needed it in the garage to have some concrete to set the engine hoist on to remove the engine. That's next, that and the tranny and front and rear differential. More on that on the next post. Happy birthday Tyleigh girl, anyway here're the pictures:

Farmer getting the cab ready
Looking bare
We thought we could get a head start
Farmer holding on till help arrives
Skip assessing the situation
Let's move it out
Michael did do quite a bit
Patty, as usual cleaning up after us.
I asked her to get something for me,
so she said I'll just take the broom
Ok this is precision work
Safe in the garage
Sara trying to help out.
By the way, all this metal (hopefully) will be a 20x40 metal garage and the new home of the project, any many more! In due time anyway. See you when the motor comes out,
