Let's see if it will start!

Monday 27 June 2016

I called George Brewster to come by and help me with the truck. I needed to get it titled or inspected. I found it either needed to pass emissions or have a class 1 inspection. I told the lady at DMV it doesn't run, she said then it needs the class 1 inspection. I called George, now George works for the Union Pacific RR. I hired him! He can do anything, I figure him to be the number 1go to guy. George used to work for Jim Click Ford as a mechanic. George and his brothers have built or rebuilt
1. 1967 Fastback Ford Mustang
2.  1965 Cobra year
3. 1942 pick up converted to a rock crawler
4. 1935 T-bucket
If anyone can do it he can. So George comes over and he says to me, "let's see if it will start". "I bet it does". So we went to work on it. We knew we needed a battery, but we also needed a starter. He calls and says we can get one $50, I say let's get it. We go get the starter bring it back and George installs it, battery is in (borrowed from my grand-daughter Tennasyn's F-150). Ready to go, I get in turn the key, nothing. George works on, pours gas in the carb, I turn it over wham, it starts! Now we need to get it running. We pump all the old, old,old gas out and poured in new gas. Ok pump works, carb is good, clean gas in the tank, let's fire it up, we do and it does! So he said you have to drive it, I drove from the back to the front garage, success. What a great time, now we know it runs, it's time to get it emission checked.
