10 April 2019 Gentleman start your engine.........

8 April 2019 we did it, we started the motor. Here's how we did it. Bought the batteries awhile back, then we built the cables from 1 ought cable. I found it on Youtube. We connected the batteries together positive in series and the negative to ground on both batteries. We grounded to the block. Using the same size cable we connected the positive (on the left battery) to the starter. We hooked up two fuel lines one to the pump and the other a return. Then we used a 5 gal. can put diesel fuel in it and placed the lines in the can. We then primed the pump about a hundred times, tried to start it. It cranked and cranked, wouldn't turn over. We need to bleed the air out of the lines and engine. George cracked open the injectors allowing air to escape. Then we cranked it again, bam! started up! It was a major milestone. However we had to shut it down very quickly because the transmission lines were not connected, causing it to leak. The next day we hooked up the tranny lines and we were in business. Needless to say I already added oil, antifreeze and transmission fluid. Here a few pictures with some explanations:

George working on the AC compressor, it as with almost everything
had to be modified.

I had to remove the hood latch bracket and trim it a little more
so the AC condenser would fit behind it.

Removed the grill and now waiting for the AC condenser.
we will mount it in front of the intercooler

Here is the door panel on the drivers side (both are done)
It is tan to match the dash and part of the seat. The arm rest is black to match the carpet
and part of the seat. We did this to off set some color. There is a lot of black parts
in the cab.

More coming soon!
