Picking Up the pickup truck

Some time ago, around April 2012, I decided it would be cool to get Uncle Pete's 1975 F-250 pick up truck and rebuild it. Not totally re-store it, but rebuild it the way I would like it. Everett Slade, my cousin, had it. He bought it from Aunt Sonja after Uncle Pete passed in 1991. As far as I know he drove till around 2006 (the last time it was tagged). It sat for 6 yrs. when I thought about rebuilding it. Everett said he wanted out of his front yard, and if I came and got it, it was mine. I decided to call Tobi, Uncle Pete's daughter, to make sure they didn't want it. She thought maybe her husband Mike would want to rebuild it. So I agreed and left the idea alone. After coming home from our mission in August 2015 I rekindled the idea of taking the truck and doing the work. Mike was not able to start it so there it sat until June 15th. I finally went to get the truck.
Here it is parked at Tim Slade's house.

We hauled it home on June 18th 2016.

Home at last, home at last. Holly checking it out.
